She also likes to crunch shells we find on the beach (horrors!). But when you live at the beach I suppose you feel there will be an unending supply to crunch. I still feel wicked doing either.Suesohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15272567664605562692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090728537367928132.post-61018873720288749072009-10-16T18:20:26.461-07:002009-10-16T18:20:26.461-07:00Fall is here people.Fall is here people.laurelgrace00https://www.blogger.com/profile/01386639377152801855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090728537367928132.post-37753491369103265712009-10-14T19:38:09.466-07:002009-10-14T19:38:09.466-07:00I have to agree with Rajasthan, it's all about...I have to agree with Rajasthan, it's all about leaving the old things behind as well as responsibility and just be in the moment.

Lovely post and photo as always.

SylviaSylvia Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05484577678585907669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090728537367928132.post-75655858809551313152009-10-14T16:46:35.048-07:002009-10-14T16:46:35.048-07:00Again it reminds me of Brooklyn, but the sidewalks...Again it reminds me of Brooklyn, but the sidewalks also look that way here in San Bernardino sometimes. The only real deciduous trees we have where the leaves change color in the fall are the sweet gum (liquidambar) trees. There are two big ones in the neighbors' yard two doors down from me that I have often photographed. The last time I took pictures of them was this afternoon.

So now for the BIG hassle of getting the pictures uploaded with my antiquated equipment. I have to use two computers to do it, because my Sony Mavica uses 3 1/2" floppies--yeah, I know...horrors! That actually made sense when I was using my old computer with a floppy drive, but the new laptop I'm using now doesn't have a floppy drive. So now the old computer has started freezing up every time I try to connect to the Internet. That means I can't e-mail the pictures to myself the way I did before, so it may be awhile before I can show you the liquidambar trees.Rakshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11280365011937595321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090728537367928132.post-11394673719057868132009-10-14T10:57:45.177-07:002009-10-14T10:57:45.177-07:00I wish I could "leave" complication behi...I wish I could "leave" complication behind. Like a few ...Nice photo with that shadow across it. Like a few others here, my first thought was, "crunch, crunch." In Southern Calif. where I grew up and the seasons were less dramatic, we always had a huge pile of leaves under the maple tree in the back yard. The colors were not as brilliant as in the north, but they died in the fall anyway, and we played in the huge piles. As kids, we were oblivious to the prickly broken pieces. So that's what I think of when I see these - leaping into a pile of leaves, crunching, and rolling around in them.tapirgalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10098235462073493603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3090728537367928132.post-13807920223233990532009-10-14T07:01:21.488-07:002009-10-14T07:01:21.488-07:00I like the crunching sound these leaves make when ...I like the crunching sound these leaves make when you walk over them...it does convey a sense that things are in process...something new is coming.
