Just for You

One of the joys of hiking is to discover wildflowers along the trail. On a recent hike near Bend, Oregon, this natural bouquet provided me a treat for Mellow Yellow Monday. I usually take the time to look carefully at the petals and see their shapes and texture. I always hope to spot honeybees and watch them work. Then, feeling satisfied, I know it is time to move on down the path and am gladdened by the experience.

I am glad you take the time to "smell the flowers" as the saying goes. We all need to slow down and look around us---ya know we could miss something.
Your wildflowers are charming and I am sure they enjoyed the once over. Take care, MB

Remind me if you have Greensboro ties. I try to keep up with people who are from here, have relatives from here, etc. Sometime I even search out things to photograph for them!!!

You do have a lot of beautiful nature to enjoy where you live. Glad that you're able to take the time to get out and enjoy it.

Lee, I'm a in constant admiration of wildflowers. I'm glad you took to the time to gaze at this lovely flower and that we, vicariously, may enjoy it too.

What a nice thing to find on your hike, and a good photo, too. The framing is especially pleasing.

I could spend hours looking at flowers, but even though I will look them up in a book, I can't remember their names. This is very pretty.
About today's post on Versailles : the photos on each side of the handless clock of the train station are old pictures of Versailles palace grounds.

What a beautiful photograph! As you may or may not know, I'm kinda partial to flower pictures myself. Which reminds me--I have a bunch of new ones to upload.

Where wildflowers bloom,
I walk on wild afternoons
and smell the fragrance.

Beautiful tiger lilies! They grow wild here in the California foothills, too.
