Lions, tigers and ......

Today, I took a new trail into the park near my house in Bend, Oregon, and came across the above sign. I hoped I would be lucky to spot some spectacular wildlife. By the way, in the small print in the lower half of the sign, it says, "If you have questions , please contact...... ." What possible questions would you have? "Should I call kitty, kitty?" "Can I take mama bear's cub home?"

Ah, I love your sense of humor, Lee! Matches mine! Be careful how you call, kitty, kitty! Who knows what answer you'll get! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week. I'm excited to hear about your coming adventures!

My good friend in WA. is always telling me to be careful... Which is why I asked you awhile back if you carried a gun on your walks.

I usually make fun of my friend and tell him that I haven't seen bears or a cougar in Paris in a long, long time.

Your winter thoughts post Tue. was wonderful.

I was just thinking how language evolves. Cougar has an entirely different connotation now;outside of a natural environment.

What happens if I pet a bear? Can I scratch a cougar? Does a cougar purr?

There are so many questions I can bearly stand it!

Not long ago our daughter living in the mountains of Colorado heard noises in her garage which she ignored for several hours. When she finally went to check she found a huge Mama bear and two bear cubs tearing the place apart.

It was a frightening scene but they finally ambled off.

We have had black bears in the trees in downtown Ocala. I keep looking for them in the forest areas around here, but haven't seen any yet. Of course, the day I do will be the day I forgot the camera at home.
